Connecting Learners in A Global World: Why is this important for you?

My opinion is that Technology is better for us because it unifies our world and therefore will gradually lead to advancement in both communications and technology it makes life simpler, and outweighs any sort of human-life without technology and it also allows our population to flourish and grow by allowing us to harvest natural resources, and provides efficient transportation. Establishment of virtual communities which can lead to a communicational advancement. Allows our human population to flourish and grow by allowing us to harvest a larger quantity of natural resources.

I chose this question because I use all different types of technology. Reason why I chose this as my topic because people our ages and even parents want to warn their son or their friends what will happen if you become addicted to technology. Would be that without technology what are we suppose to do?? Technology means everything to the world, without technology we won’t be able to connect with other people from other countries. By using the technology in our present world now, means lots of people are being allowed to be connected with other people and talk about if technology is helpful for our society or not?

The bad sides of technology are, that people are getting addicted to the technology and becoming lazy. Most of our works now days like equations are mostly done by technology and therefore we don’t use our brains very often. Several health concerns come from people our age using technology for entertainment. They spend all their time playing on the computer, or other consoles that they have become unfit and becoming obese. By using technology we haven’t been able to control our emotions. Children now are spending more times in doors then outdoors, and all outside areas are empty for example (the park, football fields)etc...

Technology are putting people without jobs, let’s take a factory for example, a worker has a certain part for his job, and his job is to close all the bottle caps, and he’s doing the job well, but the next day he gets a letter from his company saying that they don’t need his service anymore, and the reason why they don’t want his service anymore it’s not because he’s not educated but its because the company has better and higher technology, like a machine that does the job, ten times faster and easier for the company to sell.

This topic is interesting because it talks about what will happen to your life in the future and your kids and wife.

Global Peace

1- Just wanted to say well done to those students who put in a lot of effort and time to make this presentation understandable and easy to read. Also wanted to say that I liked the way they put the "De Bono's Thinking Hats", there are six types of thinking hats. White hat means the peace in our world and the true facts about peace. Red hat means the peoples emotions and feelings about world peace. Black hat means negative parts of world peace for example, war would be a negative point for world peace. Yellow hat means credit or benefits we make out of world peace, we will be saving a lot lives and we wont be having poverty. Green hat means the creative ideas to save and help world peace from people all around the world to try to save world peace! Last but not least me favorite is the blue hat, the blue hat is my favorite because it talks about how people can share their own opinions and those opinions might solve world peace, its better if u share ideas from one person to another, maybe you should better ask one of the soldiers from the army, ask him if he wants "world peace"? I'm 100% sure he will be saying "yes I would love to have world peace, but from where I come from my parents had no money to send me to college so I just ended up in the army and I cant do nothing about world peace now, its just life things will always happen"

2- I loved how the designed and explained the presentation properly, and i think they explained enough, actually more then what you need about world peace. I don't think could have done better I think they've done a lot.

3- The strong and important part of this presentation was all about how to save world peace and involve people from around the world help them save world peace.

4- Well I agree with the conclusion and I also agree on the whole entire presentation. It has prompted me to reflect on a lot of stuff, after I read this presentation I started thinking that it is true, if we didn't have any war at all we could have been living in a good and better environment.

5- The contention of this presentation was to involve people into world peace. Yes my conclusion was reasonable and it has all the evidence you want about world peace.

6- Yes i would have agreed with the students, because world peace means for everyone around the world and not only the students that have done the presentation.

Space Ship

1- I liked how they drew it, it means that people all around the world are the same and no one is better then the other, and it also means people connection to each other.

2- The effort that was put in this picture was a lot. Designed the picture more, and be more creative. By sharing opinions to each other and asking Adults (weather you parents or strangers from the outside world).

3- It shows that people can work together and be together.

4- Yes i agree. Yes I do. When I saw this photo i had so many idea on how to draw and to be confident about my work.

5- World Peace!!! Yes it was reasonable and it shows it has evidence.

6- Yes. It helps me get good ideas.

The Value Of Blogging

Last year in grade 9 our English teacher Peter Rhodes, made us go on blogger and make our own G mail accounts. He explained why we where doing G mail accounts and going on blogger, he told us that it will improve our reading/English language because we will be reading books and writing down a short summary about the book we read.
